Lynam, an arena rock-style indie band from Birmingham, Alabama, is now experiencing some of its favorite era's "bigness." As of August 2006, the first single from Slave To The Machine - entitled "Tanis" - is generating enough buzz to land the band at #19 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.

So how could someone describe fairly the chart success of "Gasolina," a song by Puerto Rican recording artist Daddy Yankee that still lingers on international sales and airplay charts two full years after its initial release?

"Walk Away" - the fifth single from superstar vocalist Kelly Clarkson's Grammy-gleaning album Breakaway - began not as a tight pop nugget but a big-roomed, rafter-rocking barnburner. A respected recording artist himself, co-producer, co-writer, and co-engineer Raine Maida originally recorded "Walk Away" with slightly more aggressive instrumentation, most notably in the sound of the drum tracks.
